by Mark A. HumphreyAn admitted child of the Cajun revival, Daigrepont only began regarding Cajun music as something other than the music of his grandparents' generation when he heard such young Turks as Michael Doucet and Zachary Richard in the '70s. Ironically, this singer and accordionist developed a style somewhat more traditional than that of his mentors. Writing his own material and fronting a tight band, Daigrepont has earned both the approval of his elders and the respect of his peers.
