Aristotle Pollisco (born October 18, 1977), better known by his stage name Gloc-9, is an Awit Award-winning Filipino rapper. His fast-flowing vocal style has made him one of the most successful hip-hop artists in the Philippines. He was described by fellow Filipino rapper Francis Magalona as &a blacksmith of words and letters, and a true Filipino poet.&

Gloc-9 is an award-winning rapper and considered the most successful rap artist in Philippine Rap. It is notable that he has collaborated almost a dozen of songs with other OPM artists; “Lando” collaborated with late Francis M., “Upuan” with Jaezelle, “Bagsakan” with Parokya ni Edgar and Francis M., and “Sari-Saring Kwento” with Noel Cabangon and Champ Lui Pio. Being asked to record songs with recognized artists only proves that Gloc-9 excels in what he does. He is considered the fastest rapper but it is not just the ability to spiel 200 words per minute that makes him exceptional also the essence of the lyrics he writes that made it significant. His songs mostly tackle social issues—social injustices, poverty, and patriotism. Gloc-9 found his inspiration from Francis M. and Dr. Dre then decides to write his own lyrics. The ladder to success was not easy. He joined various rap contests, took on waitering and service crew jobs, until his hard-work flourished. In 2000 his composition was picked by Star Records to be part of an-all-original soundtrack album for the movie “Trip” and the rest as they say was history. Today, Gloc-9 is the newest member of one of the best artist managements in Philippine music industry, Backbeat Artist Management Inc. Under a new management, Gloc-9 is always busy doing gigs here and abroad, promoting his latest album Talumpati, and now willing to explore his repertoire with his band called Pointblanc.
