Following on from the acclaimed 2015 'Home Ep' and 'The Breach Ep' (2013), comes Dustin Tebbutt's highly anticipated new album, 'First Light' - via Eleven!

A Note From Dustin:

I know this isn't the first time someone's written an album about falling in love; people have been writing about it forever. That's exactly why it's so magical though, each time feels like the first time. That wonderfully naive sense of possibility. An unassuming awakening. A beginning. It can be heard in nearly all of the songs on this album; literally and figuratively it's a "first light".

Ironically my first batch of songs - like "The Breach" and "Bones" - had largely been about coming to terms with a breakup so I guess I'm doing all this backwards! Still, you can't always control these things - only how you respond to them. There's a type of excitement, a heightened awareness you only get when you first discover something or someone who truly makes you feel alive. Sometimes it's just a fleeting moment, happily gone before you can catch it on a screen, or a simple pause, just enough to relish and commit to some kind of colourful memory. But sometimes it's bigger and you can actually immerse yourself in that vivid world if only for a while.

The simple story this time around? I met a girl, and over time as our lives crossed and weaved; she unlocked song after song until she'd inspired a whole album.

Since finishing these tunes I've realised that lots of them include references to the night sky, space, and those larger expanses of time and distance. So no surprise that it was a long distance relationship. And as a result there was the time to anticipate it. Then relish it. And then contemplate it. At times throughout the process, the studio would feel like a little space shuttle. When I was making music it was as if I was orbiting the "real world" that would then spring into life each time we were together. So from that perspective comes a familiar "/>
