Beijing based American producer thruoutin teams up with Ran Music to release his brand new 2017 EP “Contingent of Outlying Territory”.? This EP includes 8 tracks written over the past year with influences ranging from Chicago footwork , UK bass and field recording experimentation.? The EP’s sounds narrates an expedition into uncharted territory whether they be physical or within our minds.?

這張專輯的主題是關于精神與肉體的“探索”，“從2016年一月，我開始嘗試使用新的方法創(chuàng)作音樂。從技術上的創(chuàng)新思維開始，我試圖限制自己只使用單一的聲音元素，在此基礎上形成每一首音樂的框架，然后逐漸把新的元素添加進來。在創(chuàng)作這些音樂的期間，我搬了兩次家也去了幾個城市巡演，每當挪動到一個新地方，周圍的新環(huán)境讓人有了新的創(chuàng)作欲望”。這張專輯描述了一支8人探險隊進入一個虛構國家“Bazou Aisaltho”探險的奇異故事，每首歌代表了整個故事的一個章節(jié)，帶著你的耳朵跟他們一起出發(fā)去往神秘海域吧。

This release is about the exploration to new places, whether physical or within our minds. The tracks were written between January to October, 2016.?
At this time I was finding new ways to approach writing songs; from a technical aspect I was limiting myself to a single sound source for the material. After an idea had been established I would expand upon it with another sound source to build on the original foundation. In this same period, on a physical level, I had moved house twice as well as traveled to new cities in between. With each movement I felt better about my surroundings and more comfortable with these journeys to new places.? The album’s sounds narrate an expedition into uncharted territory. Each song is a chapter that takes the listener along on this mission.?
