U.N.K.L.E. are back! After a three-year hiatus, the james lavelle-helmed collective return with a new label, new home, new collaborators,- and a new sound. Unkle's third album follows the worldwide success of 1998's 'psyence fiction' and 2003's 'never, never, land' and once again finds the collective drawing on rock, electronic and beat-driven music in new ways. The collective (that once included dj shadow & tim goldsworthy) continues under the creative core of james lavelle & richard file, alongside chris goss's production (queens of the stone age). The album has poignant vocals & narration from josh homme (queens of the stone age), ian astbury (the cult), 3d (massive attack), liela moss (the duke spirit), autolux & gavin clark (clayhill), alice temple & many others. He album has it all rampant, rip roaring revenge drumming, monstrous desert rock basslines, splintering guitar hooks & squawks & ecstatic breakdowns all with an even more cinematic impact! The artwork and packaging is phenomenal (even by unkle standards). Artwork; is by long-time collaborators/artists will bankhead & bill drury, photography by 3d and others. Includes a 32 page booklet, housed in a super jewel case.
