Comet

Formed in Mesquite, Texas by Jim Stone, Daniel Huffman and Josh Garza in 1993. Jim's brother Neil joined a little bit later.
Comet released a 7", 10" and later, a full length recording on Dedicated records (Spacemen 3 , Spiritualized ).
Comet toured with Low, Acetone and the Lilys and recorded with David Baker of Mercury Rev and Shady.
the sound was often refered to as "space rock"- melodic pop and rock music with guitar feedback and distortion.
The band disbanded in early 1997. all the members continue to make music today. most noteable is Josh Garza's Secret Machines.
