Miles Kane

Miles Kane：前The Rascals樂隊主唱和Lead guitarist（樂隊于2009年8月份宣布解散），最為人熟知的是擔(dān)任The Last Shadow Puppets 樂隊的詞曲創(chuàng)作和主唱之一，另一位是來自Arctic Monkeys的Alex Turner。Miles kane現(xiàn)在已經(jīng)開始了自己的Solo事業(yè)，并且繼續(xù)負(fù)責(zé)The Last Shadow Puppets樂隊的音樂工作，他的首張個人Solo 專輯《Colour of the Trap》在2011年5月9日正式推出。
 
The Little Flames
在18歲那年，Miles Kane以吉他手的身份加入“The Little Flames”樂隊。在短短時間內(nèi)，樂隊便取得了一定的成績，得到了很多樂隊（比如Arctic Monkeys）和Fans的支持。他們開始與The Coral, The Zutons, The Dead 60s 和 Arctic Monkeys進(jìn)行合作巡演。然而，“The Little Flames“成員最終因為對于樂隊音樂定位的分歧而解散。
 
The Rascals
隨后，Miles Kane加入到了The Rascals樂隊，作為lead guitar,主唱和偶爾的backing vocals的同時，他也開始負(fù)責(zé)樂隊的主要詞曲創(chuàng)作。樂隊擁有著與眾不同的音樂感覺，被認(rèn)為是：'awesome rockin beats' with a 'psychedelic quirk' and a 'compelling and unique dark underlying spirit'。2007年12月，The Rascals發(fā)行了自己的首張EP，雖然未登上排行榜，但樂隊被評為2008年新晉樂隊。2008年6月23日，樂隊發(fā)行了首張大碟'Rascalize' 。
2009年8月，Miles Kane離開了The Rascals樂隊。
 
The Last Shadow Puppets
在隨同Arctic Monkeys展開巡演的過程中，Miles Kane與Arctic Monkeys的主唱Alex Turner結(jié)下了特別深厚的友情。他們分享著對于音樂的愛和激情，在演出后臺，他們共同創(chuàng)作和演奏了新歌。這時，他們意識到對于兩人的songwriting partnership應(yīng)該有一個交代，于是，The Last Shadow Puppets誕生了。
 
兩人決定去法國西海岸找尋制作人James Ford ，并在那里錄制首張專輯《The Age of the Understatement》。新磚剛一發(fā)行，便空降排行榜第一位。&The Age of the Understatement& 作為The Last Shadow Puppets發(fā)行的第一支單曲，在英國單曲榜上曾獲得過第九的位置。在2009年全英音樂獎提名名單中，The Last Shadow Puppets獲得了“英國突破表現(xiàn)獎提名”。
 
音樂評論員認(rèn)為：“Alex所寫的歌詞，簡簡單單大多透露出這次合作的愉快和舒心之旅，能找到Kane這種知音似乎比得大獎還要過癮。”“Bacharach-style pop？雖然不清楚是啥風(fēng)格，又或是創(chuàng)造他們自己所獨特的風(fēng)格來膜拜那些他們所欣賞的樂隊，聽來比較夸大，傲慢，甚至被外界評論為愚蠢的想法，但你還是不得不佩服他們的無畏。” “而Alex，Kane的和聲真的可以說配合的相當(dāng)不錯，說不上唯美動聽，但至少難以釋懷，蠢蠢欲動的情感迸發(fā)，隨著飛馳的鼓聲和吉他的撥弄讓整個境界得以升華，對我來說，沒有辜負(fù)自己的好奇心，也沒有辜負(fù)這次看熱鬧的人。”
 
雖然樂隊惜敗而無緣The Nationwide Mercury Music Prize，但他們已經(jīng)贏得了 Mojo Breakthrough Award，和其他各式各樣的榮譽。
 
An indie pop veteran by his early twenties, singer/songwriter and young Paul McCartney look-alike Miles Kane has played a key role in the late-noughties alternative scene, as both a member of three bands and a solo artist. Born in 1986 in Merseyside, guitarist Kane formed Little Flames with childhood friends at the age of 18, but after Eva Peterson and Mat Gregory left the band due to creative differences, he, along with bassist Joe Edwards and drummer Greg Mighall, continued as a three-piece under the new name of the Rascals. In 2007, with Kane now on vocals, they released their debut album, Rascalize, and appeared in the British hooligan film Away Days, performing an Echo & the Bunnymen cover. After supporting Arctic Monkeys on their U.K. tour, Kane became friends with lead singer Alex Turner, and due to a mutual appreciation of Scott Walker, they decided to record an album together. The Last Shadow Puppets reached number one with their debut, The Age of the Understatement, scored a Top Ten single with the title track, and received a 2008 Mercury Music Prize nomination. After Turner returned to his day job, Kane decided to leave the Rascals and pursue a solo career. In 2010 he worked with Super Furry Animals' Gruff Rhys on material influenced by Serge Gainsbourg and John Lennon. His first single, &Inhaler,& was released the same year.
