What once was started in 2001 as a side project with just a drum machine and two musicians, grew into one of the best Dutch export products in extreme grindcore music. Although critics claimed the band to be a one day fly, Cliteater proved over the years that they aren't! The band has played at many venues / theaters / festivals across Europe, USA and Canada. The force behind Cliteater is in the recognizable groove in their music. The band has a unique sound by creating a mix between fast, heavy grinding death metal combined with rock 'n' roll and catchy riffs. Their lyrics have substance and humor and the band is not afraid of a sarcastic joke.?
