Destrophy is the unstoppable 4 piece pop/rock/metal machine based out of Des Moines, Iowa on Victory Records. Officially launched in 2002 by producer and singer/songwriter Ari, who scoured the state and recruited only the most talented and success-minded musicians to bring his vision to the stage. The result is an impressive line-up featuring: Ari, guitar and vocals; Phil T. on bass; Joe Fox on drums; and Erik Tisinger, former member of The Autumn Offering (Victory Records), on guitar.
Destrophy's brutal and precise live show, coupled with epic songwriting and pop-oriented vocals continue to build and sustain the buzz surrounding them as one of modern music's brightest contenders and earned the respect of their peers. Destrophy has toured nationally with Drowning Pool, Otep, Type O Negative, Taproot, Anew Revolution, Seventh Void, and Bury Your Dead, and has since performed with Korn, Disturbed, Saliva, Avenged Sevenfold, Papa Roach, Hinder, Buckcherry, Hell Yeah, Five Finger Death Punch, Halestorm, and many more.
The band released their worldwide debut album on Victory in the fall of 2009. President of Victory Records, Tony Brummel says: "Having staked their claim as one of the hardest working bands in the Midwest, this incredible 4-piece will be taking over the rest of the country (and the world)." Their first single, "The Way Of Your World" is featured heavily on Sirius and is steadily climbing the Active Rock radio charts. The video, shot by RAGE (Trivium, Hatebreed) is featured on FUSE and MTV2. A second video for "Reconnect" is the theme song for TNA Impact wrestler Jesse Neal and is shown on Spike TV.
Destrophy continues to impress music fans and industry professionals alike with their limitless energy and focus. 2010 begins with a national tour featuring Otep, Bury Your Dead, and Through The Eyes Of The Dead. Other bands Destrophy has shared the stage with: Korn, Papa Roach, Hinder, Stone Temple Pilots, Avenged Sevenfold, Five Finger Death Punch, Disturbed, Saliva, Type O Negative, Strapping Young Lad, American Head Charge, Mushroomhead, Ra, Powerman 5000, Soil, Dope, Dry Kill Logic, Skindred, Hell Yeah, 10 Years, The Agony Scene, Misery Signals, Flaw, Opiate For The Masses, and more.
