Taran is the surname of alternative jazz producer and multimedia artist Eugene Taran from the Ukraine. Taran is first heard of after 1986 performing in very experimental, underground bands in Ukraine’s independent music scene. The jazz and hip-hop influenced Taran most listeners are familiar with did not emerge until 1992.
