Howler

用國(guó)外媒體的話說(shuō)就是繼承早期的The Ramones與現(xiàn)在的The Strokes，來(lái)自美國(guó)的Minneapolis的5個(gè)小伙扛起Fuzzed-out式的吉他搖滾大旗。Howler與其他新樂(lè)隊(duì)一樣，朋友連帶關(guān)系的完成于2010年，而這時(shí)領(lǐng)軍人物主唱Jordan Gatesmith才只有19歲。2011年的年初發(fā)行了樂(lè)隊(duì)的首張EP《This One’s Different》，隨后在夏天樂(lè)隊(duì)正式簽約Rough Trade廠牌。首張專輯《America Give Up》一問(wèn)世許多媒體就找到了相似點(diǎn)，那就是The Strokes。從Howler不難聽到The Strokes身上的東西，我想這也是Rough Trade在聽到Howler的DEMO后可以將這筆音樂(lè)生意做成的原因，要知道給予Howler這樣名不經(jīng)傳的新樂(lè)隊(duì)一紙合約不是件容易事，Howler給你的不是天花亂墜的宣布和美語(yǔ)，而是再純粹不過(guò)的Rock ‘n’ Roll。開篇的“Beach Sluts”摩登式的節(jié)奏，宣告Howler是新時(shí)代產(chǎn)物，懂得“花言巧語(yǔ)”。“Back To The Grave”是吉他節(jié)奏的有力表現(xiàn)，“This One’s Different”是Howler最早完成的歌曲，帶著濃厚的復(fù)古氣息?！癇ack Of Your Neck” 推進(jìn)有勁的節(jié)奏，還有那穿插哼唱的“woo-woo-woo-woooo”精彩無(wú)比。我想“Wailing (Making Out)”是最能體現(xiàn)Howler當(dāng)時(shí)接受采訪時(shí)說(shuō)要做一張’Dirty Rock ‘n’ Roll’專輯的想法，F(xiàn)uzz無(wú)極限?！禔merica Give Up》是Howler咆哮出來(lái)的，絲毫沒(méi)有蜜語(yǔ)糖衣，全是最簡(jiǎn)單直白的Rock ‘n’ Roll。
?Howler is an indie rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The group consists of Jordan Gatesmith on lead guitar and vocals, Brent Mayes on drums, Ian Nygaard on guitar, Max Petrek on keyboard, and France Camp (real name Jay Simonson) on bass.
Howler has received international acclaim, most notably from NME, which named Howler their #3 Best New Band of 2011 and included Jordan Gatesmith in their list of the 50 Coolest People of 2011.
