David Osmond is the son of Alan Osmond (one of the original Osmonds), and is a member of the Osmond Brothers, earlier known as the Osmond Boys. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (sometimes casually called the Mormons). The Osmond Boys worked extensively with the Children's Miracle Network, visiting sick children around the country. They also appeared on several TV shows, such as Good Morning America, Live with Regis and Kathy Lee. The group went to Missouri to become featured performers in the Osmond Family Theater in Branson. David was invited to be the understudy for Donny Osmond in his role of Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He was honored to perform in the touring cast of the show, after Donny became ill. David served a two year Mormon mission in Spain, and then attended Utah Valley University, Brigham Young University, and New York University. During this time, he battled with the West Nile Virus, which led to his Multiple Sclerosis. (His father also suffers from the disorder.) He pushed forward, despite his illness, to champion the causes of several MS charities. He continues to support MS charities, such as his appearance at the 16th Annual Race to Erase MS event in L.A. in May of 2009. David auditioned for American Idol Season 8, and was picked to be a favorite in the competition by many viewers, but fell ill after making it to Hollywood Week. April of 2007, he married Valerie, the love of his life. Two years later, on April 28th, David and Valerie welcomed their baby girl, Saffron, into the world. David played Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Pittsburg CLO in downtown Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, through June 7th, 2009. He released his first solo inspirational album in the summer of 2010, called The Road Less Traveled.
