Saturnian Mist

Saturnian Mist is an occult black metal band from Tampere, Finland formed in 2006 & equipped with various influences diversing from the different areas of heavy metal together with lyrical emphasis on occult, satanic & philosophical themes.
Saturnian Mist was formed originally in 2006 at Kuopio, Eastern Finland based on ideas of Famulus Zetekh in order to combine the occult works & musical expression into one. Together with Somber Chaoswind Saturnian Mist was established with cabalistic idea of esoteric brotherhoods & occult philosophy adjusted into the musical and artistic approaching. All Saturnian Mist's works have studied Magick and Occultism, as for example Aleister Crowley, Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa & H.P. Blavatsky have taught in the past, of which focus has directed into the exploration of the archetype of devil & left-hand-path point of view.
All Saturnian Mist's lyrical themes have their major influences coming from different mythologies, philosophies & psychological paradigms. One above all is the one of Gnosticism which began to embellish Saturnian Mist's works right from the self-titled debut demo which was widely spread in the underground & saw daylight in 2008 through french cult label Drakkar Productions.
In the following release Repellings EP (2009) focus turned into the eastern mysticism & veda-mythology as being a birth place of original left-hand-path philosophy. Some minor participations were done in 2009 as well in the form of split CD with Finnish black metal band Creatura & compilation album Helvetin Musta Peto both through Russian label Helvete.ru / Monokrom Records.
During the years there've been many musicians as guests and sessions playing in Saturnian Mist and it took long before other permanent members were joined to the colletive. As in 2009 Saturnian Mist was summoned to the grounds of Finland, Netherlands & Russian Federation to perform first live shows ever which was when fratres A, Noxifer & Ptahaz joined to the band. While working on with the debut album A had to leave the band because of the serious mental problems and Noxifer decided to concentrate to his main band Arvet so fratres Wyrmfang and Shu-Ananda joined to the grounds in the roles of drummer & guitarist in the finalization process of the debut album.
In december of 2011 a massive debut album & novel work titled Gnostikoi Ha-Shaitan (2011) was released through Finnish record label Ahdistuksen Aihio Productions which is a concept album about the archetypal Satan and its different mythological aspects & relationships with metaphysics & human psychology presented in the occult point of view.
