Adriiana

Born on May 30th, 1994 In Brampton, Ontario, Adriana Lombardo was predestined as a singer and songwriter. The 18 year-old singer’s evident diminutive 5’2 frame barely contains her immense voice. Her vocal talent was discovered at the early age of five when she began to take vocal lessons by Shania Twain’s former coach. The formative experiences of guitar and piano lessons, dance, gymnastics, cheerleading, karate and drama classes led her to believe that her calling in life was to be music. Adriana grew up in a large Italian Canadian family and was constantly surrounded by music of one sort or another. Growing up in an environment full of band musicians allowed Adriana to not only appreciate a wide variety of music, but also learn how to sing and perform it. From listening to classical rock to pop to everything in between, she became inspired by musical role models – Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera and Madonna. In order to become comfortable performing she would look for every opportunity to play in front of an audience- playing numerous fairs, competitions, weddings, shows, and recitals. At the early age of 13 she took her first serious steps towards her music career. She began co-writing and collaborating on a number of song demos with producer Murray Diagle. It was this turn of events that led to her first single ‘Let you go’, which was released independently and began to attract the attention of pop radio programmers across the country and was titled “Emerging Artist” on Chum Fm. This early radio success attracted television producers of YTV’s “The Next Star” talent competition, for which she later auditioned and ultimately made season two semi- finals. Following the television show Adriana had other offers and flew to California to work with producer Elliot Wolf and manager Mitchell Davis. At age 15 she spent weeks flying back and fourth from Canada to New York to work with several producers and songwriters. She instantly went back into writing mode and released the Vic Park produced single “My life”, which was added to rotation at many Top 40 stations across Canada. “My life” was also recorded as a French version and made top 3 in Montreal. This ultimately led to her signing with Canadian indie label Wax Records/ Universal. After signing with management CP Records, she then changed her stage-name to “Adriiana”. Adriiana’s self- titled debut pop album was released December 2011 and attracted the attention of numerous television hit series. The dance-hall tune led off single “We Are Young” to be used as the promo song for season two of ‘Khloe and Lamar: The Kardashians’. This grew the attention from US record label “Ultra”, whom immediately signed her. Her fourth single “Dancing in London” produced by Jeff Dalziel was then released across Canada. This song was used in the popular TV show “Mr. D” and was previously demoed by Katy Perry. She began her radio promo tour. Despite her busy schedule, Adriiana graduated from high school with honours at St. Edmund Campion, in her hometown of Brampton. At Adriiana’s Prom, her colleagues voted her to be the next singing sensation likely to win a Grammy and presented her with an award. In 2013, Adriiana will explore her individuality and passion for music by launching her own brand new look and exciting album.
