Andrea Bacchetti (born 1977) is an Italian pianist.
At 11 years old he debuted with I Solisti Veneti, conducted by Claudio Scimone.
He is a member of music festival in Lucerne, Salisbury etc.
In his discography, there are Sony Classical CDs with works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Johann Adolph Hasse, Luigi Cherubini, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Prize International Classical Music Awards as Baroque Instrumental for CD with the works by Domenico Scarlatti and Antonio Soler.[1] Andrea Bacchetti recorded CD with the works by Luciano Berio for Decca。
傳:The Italian pianist, Andrea Bacchetti, still a child, met some great artists, such as Herbert von Karajan, Nikita Magaloff, Mieczyslaw Horszowski, Luciano Berio, Siciliani, and received their counsels. At the age of 17 he earned the Piano Diploma at the Paganini Conservatory in Genoa with full marks and a special mention from the Culture Ministery in Rome. In 1994-1995, at the same Conservatory, he passed brilliantly the Advanced Composition Course. He obtained several scholarships from many prestigious international foundations such as the Yamaha Music Foundation of London (1990), the Mozarteum of Salzburg (1988-90), and the Conservatoire National Superieur of Paris (1992).
After his debut, aged 11, at the Sala Verdi di Milano with the Solisti Veneti and C. Scimone, Andrea Bacchetti began an early start to a brilliant career that brought him to some of the most important European festivals and to many capital cities. He won several prozes. Such as: "Premio Venezia" (1996), the prize of the National Piano Competition of Venice; 3rd prize (first not awarded), International Contest "Umberto Micheli," Scala Theatre, Milan (2001); the prize of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon, for the best rendering of a contemporary piece (Luciano Berio’s Six Encores). His advanced training included: 1998-2005: Master at the International Piano Academy "Incontri con il Maestro" ("Meetings with the Maestro") of Imola (Bologna, Italy) with M° Franco Scala; seminars held by Maestros Weissenberg, Lonquich, Lortie, Berof, Kammerling, and others; January 2003: Master-class with Murray Perahia (Salle Gaveau, Paris).
Andrea Bacchetti has given piano solo performances at European festivals in: Lucerne, Zermatt, Salzburg, Santander, Menorca, La Coruna, Antibes, Husum, (Piano raritaten), Badworishofen, Madrid (Auditorium–Scherzo Foundation "II Ciclo de Jovenes Interpretes"), Belgrado, Lugano, Salamanca; and others. He has appeared in capital Cities: Zürich (Festival Strings Lucerne); Paris (Salle Pleyiel, Salle Gaveau, Caloste Gubelkian Foundation); Berlin (Konzerthaus); Bucarest (Enescu Filarmonica); Madrid (Auditorium National, broadcast live by Radio Clasica RNE); Tirana (Allegretto Project by Cidim, Rome); Sao Paolo, Brazil (Mozarteum Brazileiro); Moscow (The Moscow State Philarmonic Society, Rachmaninoff Conservatory Hall); Prague (Rudolfinum Dvorak); London (Steinway Hall), Luxembourg (Conservatory Hall), Los Angeles and New York, Berio Celebration; and others.
Andrea Bacchetti has performed with international orchestras, such as Camerata Academica Salzburg, Festival Strings Lucerne, European Union Chamber Orchestra, Prague Chamber Orchestra, Salzburg Chamber Soloists, Enescu Filarmonica Orchestra (Bucarest), Orchestre Symphonique Fran?ais (Paris), Symphony Orchestra of the Principality of Asturias (Oviedo, Spain), O.N.B.A. (Bordeaux), Cannes Philarmonie, SDKO (Pforzheim), Symphonic of Castilla y Leon (Valladolid), Slesiana Philarmonie (Katovice, Polska); conducted by leading Maestros such as Rudolf Baumgartner, Bellugi, Borgonovo, Ceccato, Justus Franz, Lombard, Lu Ja, Maag, Mandeal, Nanut, Orizio, Pehlivanian, Petitgirard, Seehafer, Valdes, Zedda, and others.
Andrea Bacchetti has performed in Italy at Concert Institutes, such as G.O.G., Genoa; Unione Musicale, Turin; Serate Musicali, Milan; Music Friends, Palermo, Florence, Padua, Verona, Vicenza. In Rome: concerts at the Quirinale Palace, broadcast by RAI Rardio 3; I.U.C. (University Concerts Institution), Santa Cecilia Academy and others. Italian orchestras he has performed with include: Symphony Orchestras: Regionale Toscana; Sinfonica Abruzzese; Carlo Felice, Genoa; Sinfonica Siciliana; Classic Chamber Orchestra, Milan; Festival Michelangeli Orchestra, Brescia and Bergamo; Orchestra of Padua and Veneto; Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra, Milan and others. He has appeared at Italian festivals: Settembre Musica, Turin; Brescia and Bergamo International Piano Festival, Sorrento, Ravello, Sermoneta, Rossini Opera Festival, Pesaro, Macerata, Settimane Musicali, Vicenza, Camerino, Bologna and others.
In 1998 Andrea Bacchetti attended the "Nuove Carriere" Festival organized by CIDIM/ UNESCO. He also joined the "Latina 2000" project launched by CIDIM of Rome in a long tour in some of the main South American music centres (Teatro Coliseo, Buenos Aires; Teatro Rubinstein, Sao Paolo; Teatro Municipal, Santiago, and others). In 2001 he gave his first performance in Mexico; n 2005 he had a tour in Japan, and he played at the Universal Exposition of Aichi.
Andrea Bacchetti not only plays romantic piano compositions, but also devotes himself passionately to Chamber Music and, in particular, to the works of J.S. Bach. Moreover, he is regarded as one of his generation best performers of M° Luciano Berio’s production for piano, which he played with the presence of the Maestro, at the Scala Museum (Serate Musicali, Milan), and at the Brescia and Bergamo International Piano Festival (with Pascal Gallois and Luisa Castellani). He plays duo with Rocco Filippini.
