早期受到英國(guó)電子爵士樂(lè)手Matthew Herbert賞識(shí)，不僅在Accidental imprint廠發(fā)行唱片，也幫忙他們制作專輯。轉(zhuǎn)至Karaoke Kalk廠之后，兩張專輯「A Quiet Week In The House」和「Northern Classic」在銷售與評(píng)價(jià)都有亮眼的成績(jī)，是悅耳既具深度的電子流行樂(lè)，一方面具有Saint Etienne法國(guó)電子的魅惑，也有Angelo Badalamenti電影配樂(lè)的低調(diào)迷離，儼然已是KK廠的臺(tái)柱之一。
During their lengthy existence that spanned several records and over a decade of activity, Cologne, Germany-based electronic-pop band Donna Regina was compared to St. Etienne, One Dove, and the Beach Boys. They also had songs remixed by the likes of Matthew Herbert, Mouse on Mars, M. Mayer, and Isolee. In the late 90s, the group joined the Karaoke Kalk roster for the Pool EP and an LP called A Quiet Week in the House, both of which were released in 1999. Other discs for Karaoke Kalk — 2002s Northern Classic, 2003s Late, 2005s Slow Killer — followed. Lead singer Regina Janssen was likened to just about any breathy vocalist you can think of, including Sarah Cracknell, Dot Allison, and several French pop icons.
