Marcos Coll is from Madrid and started playing Harmonica at the age of 14 in Santiago, Galicia. After playing with different amateur bands, he formed his first pro band called Bluerags, doing mostly Jug Band songs and country blues. In 1999 he came back to Madrid to join the most famous Spanish blues band at that time “Tonky Blues Band”. With this band he had the opportunity of touring with rock and blues legends like Mick Taylor (Rolling stones ) or Buddy Miles(Jimmy Hendrix Band of gipsys) and even did a blues gig with Tom Jones!!!! After those years of great experiences, along with his soul brother Adrian Costa, he was ready to form his own band 'Los Reyes del Ko', that soon became one of the top blues bands in Spain, sharing bills with all time greats as Buddy Guy, Chuck Berry,John Mayall, Solomon Burke or the Faboulous Thunderbirds. This days the band is touring regularly Europe and also America. His influences goes from the old time players like Sonny Terry, Jazz Guillum, or both Sonny Boys, the classic Chicago blues like Little Walter or Junior Wells, to the more modern players like Paul Butterfield or Charlie Musselwhite. With his band 'Los Reyes Del Ko' he plays a blues rooted party music with lots of Funk, Soul and even Hip Hop and spanish latin music. He has done several studio work in Spain with famous pop and rock bands as Siniestro Total, or TV commercials playing different stiles like reggae, pop, funk, as well as old time music for silent movies. He also worked as a teacher in A.U.C.O school of Jazz in Santiago and at the “Escuela de Musica de Alcala de Henares”, Madrid. As a Hohner endorser he was part of the jury with Jerry Portnoy ,Carlos del Junco,Joe Filisko and Henry Heggen in the prestigious World Harmonica Festival 2009 in Trossingen. Nowadays,besides playing with Los Reyes del KO, and Marcos Coll Blues Jarana,he also plays with Rico MClarrin , Chris Rannemberg& Marcos Coll Blues trio,Peter Crow C and the Weed Whackers,Tonky BLues Band,and colaborates with many other international artists,like Mind Lagunas or Vieja Estacion in Mexico,as well as starting his new and surprising hip hop harmonica project with his buddy Funky Omar
