樂隊(duì)/藝人： Dismal Euphony

　　1992年ole k.helgesen與kristoffer austrheim組建了一支死亡金屬樂隊(duì)名叫the headless children。兩個人都只有13歲，幾周以后，樂隊(duì)完成了他們的第一張demo《close to death》，由于受到slayer和kreator等樂隊(duì)的影響，樂隊(duì)走的是death-speed metal的路線。隨后的一年里，erik borgen和kenneth bergsagel加入樂隊(duì)分別擔(dān)任主唱和吉它手的工作。他們將樂隊(duì)名改為carnal tomb，樂隊(duì)的風(fēng)格也越來越傾向與blackmetal，carnal tomb只創(chuàng)作出一首正式的歌曲“black funeral”，這首歌有可能收錄在dismal euphony未來的專輯中。不久以后erik borgen離開樂隊(duì)，ole成為樂隊(duì)的主唱，linn achre tveit（keltziva）加入樂隊(duì)擔(dān)任女聲主唱，她在樂隊(duì)經(jīng)后的發(fā)展中變得越來越重要，elin overskott擔(dān)任樂隊(duì)的鍵盤手。隨著樂隊(duì)的風(fēng)格變得越來越旋律化，他們決定將樂隊(duì)名再次改為dismal euphony，這標(biāo)志著樂隊(duì)建立起了自己新的風(fēng)格。

　　1995年，樂隊(duì)發(fā)表了一張demo《spellbound》，此張demo在歐洲范圍內(nèi)引起了很多人的注意，不久，樂隊(duì)與nocturnal art，malicious和napalm唱片公司分別簽定了重新將demo作為樂隊(duì)的小專輯出版的合同。專輯在世界范圍內(nèi)售出了近千張?！秙oria moria slott》是dismal euphony樂隊(duì)的第一張正式專輯，這張專輯對于napalm唱片公司和樂隊(duì)來說是非常成功的，隨即樂隊(duì)很快又發(fā)行了他們的第二張專輯《autumn leaves》，兩張出色的專輯使metal blade和nuclear blast唱片公司開始對樂隊(duì)產(chǎn)生興趣。

　　1999年，樂隊(duì)在nuclearblast公司旗下出版了樂隊(duì)的第三張專輯《all little devil》，與前兩張專輯相比，似乎樂隊(duì)也或多或少的沾染上了一些商業(yè)氣息，但dismal euphony優(yōu)美的女聲演唱仍然使樂隊(duì)受到了不少好評。dismal euphony作為挪威blackmetal音樂界的一分子，以其神秘的氣氛和哀傷的旋律感染著世界，在dismal euphony的音樂中樂隊(duì)加入了很多北歐民謠的成分，這使他們的音樂聽起來少了一分邪惡感而取而代之的是神秘而哀傷的氣氛，聆聽他們的專輯時你仿佛置身于一部神話故事當(dāng)中，古老的森林，神秘的山脈，悠揚(yáng)的女聲獨(dú)唱，令人落淚的愛情故事，這一切你都可以從dismal euphony魅力十足的音樂中找到。

The Norwegian death metal band Dismal Euphony was led by Ole K. Helgesen and Kristoffer Austrheim, longtime friends who formed their first band, the Headless Children, in 1992 at the mutual age of 13. With the additions of vocalist Erik Borgen and guitarist Kenneth Bergsagel, a year later the group changed its name to Carnal Tomb; after Borgen was dismissed, Helgesen took over vocal chores, and following the recruitment of second vocalist Linn Achre Tveit and keyboardist Elin

Overskott, the revamped line-up was rechristened Dismal Euphony. In 1995 they recorded a demo, Spellbound, which created considerable interest throughout the European death metal underground; it was subsequently issued commercially as a self-titled EP on the Napalm label. The full-length Soria Moria Slott followed in 1996, and a year later Dismal Euphony returned with Autumn Leaves--The Rebellion of Tides. The success of the two albums brought the group to the attention of Nuclear Blast Records, which released their third album, All Little Devils, in 1999. Lady Ablaze followed a year later; Autumn Leaves and Python Zero were issued in early 2001.
